Spiritual Pilgrim: Awakening Journeys of a Twenty-First Century Transcendentalist
At the height of his career as a venture capitalist and early investor in biomedicine, Jim Sherblom experienced a spiritual awakening that led him on a multi-religious exploration across the globe, through time and space, into the transcendental experiences of religious mystics. In this memoir, Rev. Dr. Jim Sherblom shares the lessons he learned on his journey to become a twenty-first-century transcendentalist.
“Sherblom tells his story with such insight and wonder that he turns from pilgrim to guide for the reader, and reading the book itself becomes a kind of pilgrimage.”
—Rev. Martin B. Copenhaver, President of Andover Newton Theological School and author of This Odd and Wondrous Calling
Spiritual Audacity: Six Disciplines of Human Flourishing
2,600 years ago, philosophers across the globe developed disciplines for spiritual exploration. Here, Sherblom elucidates their six key principles: Resilience, Surrender, Gratitude, Generosity, Mystery, and Awakening, to take the reader from wealth and power to wisdom and purpose. Part memoir, part philosophical history, and part manual for living, Spiritual Audacity will guide you from black and white to color, from formless to form, from dark to light, and from curious to enlightened.
“Gripping, compelling, and deeply inspiring.”
